Immigranta is an AI-powered product for making UK immigration information easier to understand. It is built around a simple problem: the UK immigration system is complex, changes often, and the information people need is spread across rules, appendices, guidance, and policy updates.
The product helps users ask immigration questions in plain English and get clear, direct answers with sources they can inspect. The goal is not to replace qualified legal professionals, but to make the underlying information more accessible so people can understand their options, ask better questions, and move through the process with more confidence.
The core product direction is retrieval-first. Immigranta builds its corpus from official UK government sources: the Immigration Rules, Statements of Changes, UKVI guidance, caseworker instructions, and visa and citizenship guidance notes. It intentionally avoids legal blogs, forum posts, social media, and unofficial commentary because the product needs to stay grounded in the sources that actual decisions are made against.
When a user asks a question, the system rewrites the question into a precise search query, retrieves relevant passages using both semantic meaning and exact legal terminology, generates an answer only from the retrieved context, and attaches citations back to the source documents. It also produces a confidence score so users can see when the evidence is partial, conflicting, or worth checking with an official source or regulated adviser.
The system is designed to refresh as official rules and guidance change. That matters in immigration, where a newly published Statement of Changes can shift salary thresholds, eligibility requirements, or route rules with serious consequences for applicants.
The safety boundary is explicit: Immigranta is an information tool, not legal advice. It can explain rules, surface source material, and help users prepare better questions, but it cannot assess a person’s full circumstances, predict caseworker discretion, represent them, or take professional responsibility for a decision.
Immigranta is part of my broader work at Ruach Tech: applied AI products that turn difficult public information into practical, sourced, user-facing tools.
